What makes a strong article
Before you write, ask: “Why would a professional reader, founder or decision-maker care about this?”
- Insight over information. Explain why something matters and what it means for businesses and professionals, not only what happened.
- Original perspective. Share real experience, analysis or expertise rather than restating public news.
- Practical value. Readers should come away with an idea, a framework, a warning or a question worth asking.
- Clear writing. An educated professional outside your specialty should be able to follow it. Avoid unnecessary jargon, clichés and generic statements such as “the world is changing rapidly.”
Accuracy and sourcing
- Every fact, figure and quote must be accurate and verifiable. Include links to your sources.
- Prefer primary sources: company announcements, government data, regulatory filings, research papers and official documentation.
- Label estimates, forecasts, reports and opinions as such.
- Do not present rumors or unconfirmed claims as fact.
- Do not invent quotes, statistics or expert opinions.
Originality and copyright
- Submit only original work that you have written yourself.
- Do not copy, closely paraphrase or rewrite other publications’ articles.
- Quote others sparingly and always with attribution.
- Confirm that you hold the rights to any images, charts or data you submit.
- Tell us if the article has been published elsewhere. We prefer unpublished work.
- If you used AI tools in drafting, you remain responsible for the accuracy and originality of the final text.
Promotional content and disclosure
- Articles must not read as advertisements. Mentions of your company, product or service should be limited, relevant and balanced.
- Distinguish verified facts from claims by founders, companies or vendors.
- Disclose any financial or professional interest in the companies or products you discuss.
Tone and style
- Professional, clear, concise and human.
- No clickbait, sensationalism or exaggerated headlines.
- Short paragraphs and descriptive subheadings.
- Bullet points only where they genuinely help.
Format
- Length: [800–1,500 words recommended]
- Headline: clear, specific and informative
- Author bio: 50–80 words, with your role, organization and area of expertise
- Photo: a professional headshot
- Links: sources and relevant references
